Re: Google2Go! - v0.275b - 02/26/08
Not impressed, but it is a beta version after all. It really is a browser with a fancy icon row at the bottom that will link to each of Google's sites.
You must have your screen already on landscape mode, the app will still open but it will be cut off since it only works on landscape mode and does not change the screen orientation automatically. Also, as of right now, it is useless in any device that does not have a hard keyboard because when you place the cursor in any of the typing fields (username, password, etc.) it will not let the soft keyboard come up. It covers the bottom bar. It also borrowed the icons from the iPhone for a lot of the shortcuts. Finally, the app did not close/minimize correctly. While the X and the title bar disappeared, the main screen (browser) still covered my Today screen. Had to kill it with a task manager. |

Sounds like a real winner. Mogul users might like it though.

Re: Google2Go! - v0.275b - 02/26/08
Uhhh... does this app automatically open a data connection? Because I tried using goggle maps and found I had access to the internet without my knowing (no icon change in the title bar). I don't have wifi enabled and I have a block on my data connection (too expensive).
Maybe its just me, but can anybody else confirm this? I driving an XV6700 using Helmi's WM6 18508.0.7.0 build And I'm out... |
Re: Google2Go! - v0.275b - 02/26/08
Yes, you need a data connection.
