is there any software that enables the camera to record while camera is running in the background?

can the display be off while still recording what is going on? i did some searching and i didn't come up with much info, but the interest appears to be there.

would this be possible if the right app gets cooked up?

i would suggest recording then closing your eyes or covering the screen..that would be my best suggestion

the point is i would like to leave the phone in my room and know what goes on when i am not in the room! sure i can spend a few hundred dollars on a hidden camera system but i am looking for an alternative.. there are apps for almost every other imaginable thing, why not an app that records in the background? im only asking if there is something that already exists.. im not asking anyone to whip out an app.

u can set it to turn of the backlight which might work

you can probably use the webcam program to accompish your goals. It can transmit via Wifi to another computer.

I access my crappy desktop webcam on my Mogul via Orb. I'm sure you could do the same.

well after a little searching in found the right app to do this, guess there is an app for just about every type of thing.
basically you install an app on the phone and the app on the pc and the phone streams live camera via usb, bluetooth, or wifi. not only that but u can take pictures remotely.
