Mobile torrenting?
 

Is there a free PPC application that would handle torrent downloads over wifi or data? i know of one ppc client but its about $30, and I'm a smidge strapped at the moment. One of my old friends directed an independant movie that he distributed through torrents that I'd like to take a gander at. Sadly I'm out of town and will be for several weeks with only my Titan and free time.

I don't think there are any free ones but I use WMTorrent and it works great. Forgot the price but it does what its supposed to very well.

Maybe you should get a PT job with your free time instead of watching movies on your phone? Just a thought :)

Smh @ last post... ok back on topic, wasnt there a free mobile version of emule or something at one point?

at one point utorrent had a program but now its just to remote download to your home computer. WMTorrent is a ex. program I use it alot for my free time at work lol.

yeah i used to love utorrent, but i never knew they had a mobile proggy....

Seems to me there is at least one open source version of torrent code out there if you wanted to port to .NET... Check out SourceForge...

you could remote control your PC with logmein.com, then access your pc files with avvenu.com both are free. the mobile torrent programs are buggy at least to me. hope this helps

I have wmtorrent on my mogul, but the sad thing is, i have no idea what a torrent is or how to use this software. :( if anyone has the time and patience to explain to me how it all works, it would be greatly appreciated. If you pm me some help, im sure i could think of something software related i could share with you. I have alot of applications. :) thanks dschoenike
