[quote=Pibe38;179107]September, 4, 2008--FYI, I archived a bunch of posts leaving only those that have links in them. This should make finding stuff a bit easier. Coz

Mapping/LocationThis is the new version of Google Maps with street view. It works great so far. Been using it for a couple of days.

I have searched and trawled but to no avail... Is there an app like on the iphone that magnifies the link your finger/stylus is touching? The one that makes placing the cursor where you want, very easy...

Is there an app that shows what programs you have open?

I remember I had a loaded ROM that had programs next to the start button on the top left, now when I have programs, and open others, I don't see them, nor can I click to continue what I was doing.

Anyone have an idea of what I speak of?

Are you talking about a "task manager"? THere are many task managers you can download. I want to say Windows Mobile 6.1 has one intergrated into it that is pretty decent.

Maybe HTC Task Manager is what you are referring too? You might do a search for that and give that a try

I'm looking for an app that will keep the display turned off no matter what, maybe except for an incoming phone call. I looked at ScreenToggle, but that's not going to do what I want. The problem is that there is one town I visit often to see a friend, and in her area my screen constantly turns on every few minutes. I called sprint about it and they say if the phone goes in and out of service very quickly, the screen will turn on. I'm not too sure about that, I don't get any audible tone signaling my phone lost service. I think it might have to do with the fact that she is right near an airport and planes are always flying low overhead... not sure, though. Anyway, I have a Sprint Touch Pro running the stock rom. Thanks!

Its always convenient that they will record my conversation but there is never a record of it.

At least where I am (Colorado) if one party who is a participant in the conversation is recording it, then there is no problem....When the problems come is when a recording is made that neither party, involved in the conversation, knows that it is being monitored or recorded by an unknown third party....I record ALOT of conversations that I have with a number of various people/businesses/ etc
