I have experienced the keyboard issue on the Touch (it uses the password keyboard instead of the XT9).

Also when I get a message I do get the SMS-Chat notification on the screen and also the notification LED (changed from green to orange), but after opening the message, the LED never changed back to green, the notification does not seem to clear.

The pictured would be a huge plus as well.

A tip, if you use the standard SMS app (Outlook) and have folders for your friends or whatever (to save received messages), they will not be incorporated into the threads. The app takes messages from the Inbox and the Sent Messages folder and makes them into threads. Because of this, my threads are all made of sent messages from Sent Items and have no incoming messages.

Quitting SMS-Chat and moving everything back to Inbox and restarting SMS-Chat will fix the app. It seems that SMS-Chat checks for this every time it is started in case messages were sent/received before it was opened and went to the stock app.

I'd also recommend backing up your messages before installing this. I used dotfred's PIMBackup. And the Palm Threaded users just need to copy the PalmMsgVol001 (or something like that) file in the \Windows directory.

I wasnt aware of the led issue. I dont have mine turned on for text messaging, lol i get way too many of them and my phone would always be blinking orange and I would be screaming at my phone like "would you stfu already!!!!"

I actually really like this app. I will use it for the 2 weeks and see if they can find a fix for the problems, ive emailed them already, i would encourage others to do so as well with your issues. This is probably the most intuitive sms proggie to come along, and i think with a little tweaking that this will be better than the palm app(it looks so damn pretty). Either way i aint payin no 15 bucks for an app thats not even fully functional though. As i said b4 if they dont fix it..then its back to codyppc sms for me. I hope they get this right though

there email is support@vitotechnology.com. Mods if this viloates forum rules feel free to remove the email addy.

No worries, posting their e-mail address is not against the rules.

And I agree, it just needs some work. It's very good app for a 1.0 version.

I do not know about the email gateway.

Unlike palms threader, once a thread is started you can still open the thread and tap on any message inside the thread and get an options list. So lets say your texting "Susy" and you wanna forward a message from the thread to someone, in the palm app, you have to go to sent items and then go to resend it. In vitos app, you do it from within the thread. I think you should try it out. If you dont like it, just reinstall your palm app. I doubt u will be dissappointed tho.

Thanks. That sounds great. :occasion5:

The only problem with installing/uninstalling this is that my palm app is cooked into my rom, so it would mean a hard reset/restore from backup. Not a huge deal, but not real easy. The email functionality is a deal maker/breaker for me. Maybe someone can try texting their own email address and see if it goes through...

From what I can see, when you try to enter an e-mail address to text, it 'blacks out' the compose button so I don't think it's possible. Though, like Success100 said, just e-mail them and see if they'll put it in an update. I've already e-mailed them with my issues.

Anyone using PCM Keyboard can you confirm that auto-correct is not working?

It is the best I have used by far. I even compared it to my buddy's Iphone SMS and ISMS and in my opinion it blew both of them completely out of the water.

The other peeps with problems may have to totally uninstall any other sms threading applications they may currently have (can you say... conflicts), coz this one works with the WM (Windows Mobile) SMS/MMS program that comes with the phone. It moves all your current text messages into a SMS Chat folder (located under your default inbox/drafts/deleted folders on your phone, and it also intercepts new text messages coming in.

This app has totally caused me to run up my bill now sending texts. It also has the group sms feature built in as well, and links back with your default contact list to do all kinds of stuff.

The BEST sms app ever made in my humble opinion :headbang:. Freestyl users just link it to one button and presto, messages in a bottle, lol.

I posted some more detailed info on it in the Freestyl forum: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=15518&page=4
