marsutil.dll -> WeatherPanel
palsettings.exe -> phonealarm! lite

i dont have opera yet, was gona put it on when i get home tonight... im not using most of the programs listed so i want to test some of the ones i got out. it options to save the current file before you start because sometimes it wont work properly afterwards.

after you compress it the first time you run the program you will get a pop up asking you if you want to run the program, click yes and your back to normal.

*posted here and SU, post on which ever you prefer!

Might want to add what UPX settings you are using. I know certain programs (SPB Imageer) dont work well using the --best compression, but work fine using the no-icon option. I actually just do all of mine using the no-icon option now.

TodayAgenda wouldn't work for me.

Same here - no-compress-icon setting. Here's the apps I've compressed, including the starting and ending size:

1-Calc.exe
560KB -> 187KB

Cubis-arm.exe
883KB -> 484KB

eWallet.exe
1.23MB -> 604KB

Map24Mobile.exe
1.281MB -> 420KB

Sprite Backup.exe
1.226MB -> 393KB

I also recommend looking for .dll files that 3rd party programs (unfortunately) install in \Windows like phonelarm has a couple that can be compressed.

Most Today plugins (3rd party) can be compressed successfully (no icon) as well (I had some issues with TodayAgenda though)

I basically use this on all my programs I install. It does not work on CF1 or CF2 .NET programs but since I avoid those apps it's a win-win for me, lol.

The space for the plugin is there on the desktop, but there's a bunch of gobbledy-goop for characters, all lined up vertically on the left side of the screen.

I only use the maximum compression setting as well. I've found that compressing icons results in many more failures.

either way there was no harm so go ahead and try it.
