List of Installed Programs
 

I can't explain why...but I am interested in what programs everyone else is running.

It might be because, I personally feel like I have to make sacrifices on which programs to install because of the limited program memory in my Titan. I have plenty of programs that I don't use (SPB Diary, HTC Home, SPB Phone Suite, etc. etc.) because I don't like the performance of my device when they are installed in addition to everything listed below.

Below I have listed the programs that I currently have installed and the sites I found them.

I didn't have a hand in the development of any of these apps, so I would like to publicly thank all of those folks who diligently worked to create them and enhance my PPC experience...My hats off to ya.

25.4MB Ram/130 Rom on boot up...

I have a bunch of programs loaded and can only get 15 mb free after a softreboot. How in the world are you getting 25? I don't doubt you, but would love some help getting something like that.

I can tell I'm new to this by comparison.

I got my ppc mainly for scheduling/planning.

Right now, thats all I need. I have the "classic black" theme, which probably explains the lack of need for tons of customizations, buttons, icons etc.

Maybe I'm new, perhaps I'm too conservative to need much else *shrug*.

With the programs above installed, I am getting about 20MB of free RAM @ boot...After I run Oxios Close Apps, it shoots up to 22 or so. I think those programs give me optimum functionality and entertainment (for me) without sacrificing perfomance.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't so particular about my setup and could install programs to my card..I could have so much more freedom.

I use SPB PP and create shortcuts to my today screen for everything I install, obviously if I installed on the card, this would create
latency and decreased perfomance.

That and I am too cheap to buy an 8gb card and I carry around 2 4gb cards, and constantly switch back and forth..

I kind of used to be like that but my 4gb cars is actually really fast its a Class-6 Patriot i picked up for like 29 or 39 from Fry's and the difference between Rom and Card is really not that noticible to me. Maybe I just tell myself that though :???:

Exactly! The flood gates will open. Its kinda funny I use the oddest programs the most. I love to doodle on my phone using Pencil Box. I use MusicID all the time. Live search constantly. Things I never knew "I needed"

I have a plethora of programs running - but I must give kudos to SPB because I PocketPlus 4 running and plenty of unsupported plugins on various tabs, and never have I had my Treo 700wx lock up. I love that app!

By the way eehrhard, I need MORE cowbell! :)

SPB PP4 is the program that I can't live without. I love the functionality and to be quite honest, I love the way that you can customize the icons...

Pls Help: MMS Pic Mail not working on my HTC Touch
 

I recently added the MMS software to my HTC Touch. Initially, the software worked fine, but now I am unable to send any pic mail. Not sure what's going on...can anyone offer some advice? I've already remove and restored the program, but that is not working. pls help.

Oscar, the MMS program is currently not working. It's being discussed in just about every forum on this site.

Be patient for a fix or Plan B.

This seems like as good of place as any to ask...

Does anyone know if the MMS is still functional on any of DCDs Clean ROMs? I imagine it's the same program (although it looks slighly different)

It's probably not that deep that someone would flash an entirely new ROM, but I am just curious.

Heh that Triangle Software the OP had is awesome, many reg edits specifically for the 6800 into 1 app, saves a lot of time.

Contacts: Pocket Informant will lock private ones
Text Messages: No clue

Resco Explorer: can encrypt files individually.

Okay, so I was reviewing your list and checking out the apps you use. I have installed several that I really like. However, You mention Total Commander and TouchFlo. Why both? Aren't they basically the same thing?

Also, where the heck did you get the TouchFlo downloads from. Most of the applications you mentioned were easily found with a simple google, but I haven't been able to really find it yet.

Thanks for the start on the applications! Loving my new XV6800 more already!!!

I can't even express my immense gratitude for the creator of this thread and everybody who has posted tips and such!! I am BRAND NEW to my Mogul phone (3 days) and I was up til 3 AM reading all u guys suggestions and tricking out my phone!! It's SO COOL NOW and I got to look just like I want it and do everything I want it to do! This was one stop shopping.... THANKS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!

On a side note; I feel dumb asking this as I am not new to the PPC scene, but if you install a program to a storage card, is it required (as in necessary) to reinstall when you flash ROMs? I used to have a 6700 and installing to the card was a no-no due to some hardware issues with it losing connection constantly. With the 6800, should I avoid using storage card?

Memory is not a concern. but installing stuff like games once, would be amazing instead of constantly reinstalling them. I use UC to install my big programs but all those "sometimes use" are a pain to reinstall when needed.
