Threaded SMS App

Ok I have a question. Since PocketCM has its own threaded sms and looks good with the bubbles etc, shouldnt it be possible for someone to make a threaded sms app with that same kinda look and interface? I mean, pocketCM is nice but it wont pop up automatically for me when I get a new text and u cant do it like the normal messaging app having an inbox whereas using pocketCM u have look up the contact, go to it then click on sms and history and that seems like a lil much just to get to messaging and its only for that person. I'd rather not have scroll thru all my contacts just to get to one. The guys at PocketCM should look into making their iown messaging app

I know what you mean about just sending a message to someone without scrolling through your contacts. However, if you have a text from that person already you can click the 2nd button and it will open all your contacts with SMS. Also, if you hold the bottom right button it will open a submenu and you can choose options. Under options you can choose "Bring PocketCM to front" under SMS. This will open PocketCM and the contacts w/SMS list when you get a new message. (at least on my 6700, it will)

Hope this helps!

In addition, you must have Pocket CM running in the background to catch incoming text. If you do not have it running it will go to your default messaging client...

It also help to go into your sounds and notifications and disable the default windows popup bubble for received text messages.

I just like the way pocketcm looks and the keyboard doesnt cover the input box like in the other threaded one

Yea I have the touch but there's actually a way around that problem. I just like the interface of PocketCM better

Has anyone gotten CodyPPC Threaded SMS app to send and receive with MMS on Verizon network??

was wondering if anyone has gotten this app to send AND receive MMS properly on the Verizon network?? It seems I can send them all I want but when i receive them the default MMS gets them, not the threaded one.... weird... SMS works great.....

EDIT:

I lied..... The MMS messages that I sent came back after several minutes and each one gave me a network error.....

A networking error (0x1501) has occured. This could be caused by a voice call, a wired Activesync connection, or some other network problem. Please try again.

I went to MENU, OPTIONS, ADVANCED, and tried Automatic - same error. Tried manual and EDIT, selected Verizon wireless. No other settings on that page, and it still has the error....

I have tried codyppc's threaded app and it is great. But it seems it has possibly become a little taboo (because of it's affiliation) and I am not current on the possibilities of skinning it, if any.

PocketCm .19 is out (Quentin is constantly updating PCM) and even though it does use a few mb's in use, it's interface is fluid and smooth and includes threaded messaging, integrated call log, favorites, themes, settings dump (for modifying), can catch incoming texts (providing you have the intercept.dll witjin the pocketcm folder AND pocketCM running in the background, and you can use the defualt message client if you so prefer.
