I was a dedicated user of Sprite for a long time. But after 3 different failed backups (and lots lost), I switched to SPB Backup. Not a single issue since!

While developing my program, I'll try many new things that will sometimes not work, resulting in Hard Reset.... A good (reliable) backup is most important to me! ;)

Are any of these programs equivelant to a complete ghosting of one's device? I've tried Sprite backup but it didn't exactly copy everything. For example, the security prompt reg edit hack/some of my today screen settings that I had painstakingly fiddled with and gotten just right. I wonder if there's a norton ghost for mobile type program?

SPB Backup here. No problems whatsoever. Performs as expected. And no, I have no idea if there is actually a ghost program developed.

I'm having a problem. neither spb backup or sprite backup is working for my 6700 on the spb backup i get all the way to where it's supposed to start backing up and then i get an error message saying that sfx module is not found. then it counts down to a soft reset.

With Sprite i get the same problem but this time it says "An unexpected error occurred. If this problem persists visit http;//www.spritesoftware.com/support/support.html.

could someone please help and tell me what i'm doin wrong?

I use SPB backup 1.6.1 on my Mogul. It works great. I'd highly recommend this if you have a Mogul and would like a backup to restore from. I got tired of Hard Resetting my Mogul and starting over, manually installing everything back to the way it was. I don't have to worry about it anymore now that I use SPB Backup 1.6.1.
