Problem with ORB
So I'm connected to ORB through my 700wx. When I click on the play button to watch a movie I get a message asking me, "Download the 78 bytes file LiveStream.ram?" I've had ORB for about 2 months and have watched numerous movies through my 700wx...so I don't think it's operator error.
Any thoughts? Thanks, Coz |
Sorry I don't use orb myself. I am sure other members will give you an answer. Just hang tight.

What happens if you answer Yes to that popup?
I use Orb on my 6700 and have lately gotten "blah blah file exists already....do you want to overwrite?" I click Yes and all's fine, whether it's music or video. I just think that Orb writes a temporary internet file which allows you to stream your content, and it has the same file name regardless of what you stream. If you don't have your internet settings set to automatically delete temp internet files when you close PIE, since it's trying to write a newer file with the same name, you're getting that popup. At least, that's what I can gather..... |
Yes, Orb by default will save the file livestream to your device, the file size is determined by your connections speeds, computer and device. If it exists already it will ask you to overwrite.

Ok, well I answered "yes" to the popup multiple times and could never get a movie to start. I went into the tools section of ORB on my 700wx and changed the media from "real media" to "windows media" (somehow "real media" had become the default) and I'm now able to get my movies.
Thanks to all the responses and suggestions...Office Space will now get me through the rest of the morning here at the cube farm. Late, Coz EDIT: Now I can finish up those TPS reports. |
