mobipush

Ok I've searched the entire site and I can't believe I can't find this mentioned anywhere. Does anyone know anything about it?

https://www.mobipush.com/New_Account...p?Action=start

I like the idea of "free" push but I'm nervous about giving them my email password without knowing anything about them.

Thanks,
Jack

MobiPush is GOD.
with a capital GOD.

I signed up for them a while back. it's far better than having to forward your gmail to a mail2web account, PLUS when you get an email through MobiPush's service, it uses your actual POP account, so you can reply to the email from your actual account. unlike mail2web, where, for instance, you can forward your gmail to mail2web and have it pushed to your phone, but when replying to the email, you're actually replying to it from your mail2web account, not your gmail account.

I HIGHLY recommend MobiPush to anyone who's looking for push email.

I've just signed up for this w/my gmail account: If you are having problems with gmail, just use the "manual server" option to setup gmail in order to work with mobipush. So far, I haven't had any problems today with it. I think it pushes every 1 or 2 minutes...

Same here; GMail is flawless with this. Yahoo and Hotmail? Yeah, they don't work. It's ok, 90+% of my personal e-mail goes through Gmail.

I didn't see any options for incoming/outgoing servers, just one server. Also it has no place to specify the port. I tried both POP and IMAP with Gmail but had no luck.

Tried it. It didn't save my sent mail in the "sent mail" folder. Does it work for anybody else? Am I doing something wrong?

Good, so it wasn't just me that had push issues since about 10:30 this morning.
