Any app to lock touch screen while another app is running?
I'm looking for an app that will lock the touch screen so there won't be accidental touches (whether by a finger or the butt), while another app is running.
My plan is to run Google Maps for Mobile while skiing but keep the mobile set in the pocket. I want to keep the power on the whole time so I can locate my position immediately upon taking out the mobile set from the pocket. But I want the phone to be running Google Maps, instead of showing the lock screen, so I won't have to take off my gloves in the cold weather to unlock the phone. By necessity, I need an app that will "lock" the touch screen so no accidental touches will be made to Google Maps while the phone stays in my pocket. Is this feasible? |

ScreenToggle for Pocket PC 1.3 (Wei Feng) - Details - PocketGear.com: Mobile Apps, Software & Games for Windows Mobile, Symbian, Blackberry, Android, Palm and Java devices! Used this to shut off backlight (and lock screen) while listening to tunes, and the player kept on running. But buttons stayed functional, which was good for my purposes, maybe can be set to also lock for your purposes. I had Screen Toggle mapped to the camera button. One press started the program, 2nd press cut off screen. Then I found AE Button Plus can do it in just one press, so have been using AEB+ ever since. If you decide to give ST a try, I'd recommend the 'latest' version 1.3, but use the CAB for PPC2003. |

Not sure if it will suit you but I use S2U2 to lock my phone. I can leave any app running and lock the phone, when I unlock the app is still running. You may need to add it to the exception list but it should work for you. I don't think you really need a toggle app. Just a thought!

I am using S2U2 application for lock touch screen while another applications are running. It is very safe way and easily to do. When you unlock the screen then you can see what last application you last done, it means it still running.
