Internet for home network using WMWifiRouter

Not sure this is the right place for the Question; however I don't know where it would be better to ask this.

I use WMWiFi since my digs have no access to Cable or DSL.

Since I use WMwifi I have to disconnect from my home network. I want to connect my WMwifi to my Router so I can access internet just like I had Cable or DSL.

I have a Netgear 801.11n for my home, but I also have an old Linksys 801.11b laying around.

Could I connect the Phone with WMWifi to the 11b and then connect that to the WAN port on the 11n Netgear? maybe I would have to use the Linksys 11b as a Bridge?

Any Advice or pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated

having trouble understanding, sounds like you want to connect your phone to a wireless router so you can get online....am i right?
WMwifirouter just turns your phone into a router, so you can connect other devices like a laptop, and get online....

In fact, if you just want to connect to internet, you need a wifi router which connect to DSL modem. And you just need to connect your phone to the wifi router to visit internet.

I think what he wants to do is use his phone as the service provider. In other words have his home's wireless network's connection to the internet go over and through his wireless router. This is possible, but you will need a router to support it. If you have any of the routers supported by the dd-wrt packages, then you can flash your linksys router and then try to have your linksys use your phones "WiFi-Router" as a bridge to the phones 3G connection so long as your flashed router can see the phones Ad-Hoc network. This should allow you to have multiple PC's and devices with a local IP addressing such as 192.168.0.XXX whether your using DHCP or static IP's on your local network. Btw, folks the WMWRouter and HTC WiFi Router application dont actually turn your phone into a router. They just start an AdHoc network. A simpler solution would be to just use your phone's internet sharing and apply all the hacks that can be found on this site, and set up internet sharing on a pc in your home.

Marcus is on the right track, Only braodband option at my home is Satellite or 3G. So I wanted a way to connect my existing home network (just moved here), i think i figured out a way. Turn on WMWifiRouter on my Touch Pro 2, then connect my netbook to that. Bridge the WLAN to the LAN on the netbook. Hardwire my netbook to the 802.11n Router's WAN then I can use my Home network as I always did, hopefully.

This may all be moot since AT&T has finally installed U-Verse out here.
