Slide2Unlock2 interferring with Voice Dialing
Well, I finally broke down and bought a BT earpiece and I've been playing with the voice dialing on my Mogul. What I've noticed is that when the phone is asleep and I press the voice dialing button on my headset it seems that S2U2 doesn't allow the voice dialing app to work correctly. The phone will wake up, the voice dialing app will appear and then disappear back behind S2U2. What I've had to do is first unlock the phone and then use it which is only 1 more step, but still a bit annoying.
Has anyone else experienced this or know of a work around for it? I really like S2U2. I don't konw if this is a Mogul only issue which is why I posted in the PPC Software forum and not the Mogul forum. |
Yes, I too was having same problem and it was annoying. I had to uninstall it. This was the S2U2 ver 0.85. I see there is a subsequent fix update ver 0.86 now available. I'll install it and test out when I get the chance.

looks like it may have already been addressed here
"- My device's special Keys are not blocked by S2U2?! (e.g. HTC Touch, the camera key on some devices...) - This is a device specific problem that cannot be resolved." but check out http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?p=1650809 for more info |
Or use MS Voice Command instead of the Cyberon Voice Dialer. It goes around the S2U2 lock with no problems. I always had the same issue when I used Cyberon.

Should have specified I'm already using v.86. I'll have to check out Voice Command, though I'm not sure what the Cyberon voice dialer is. If it's the stock voice dialing software on the Mogul than that's what I'm using.
Another issue I'm having with Voice Dialing which may or may not be related is that I can't access the settings. When I open the program it begins listening, when I press the right soft key to access the settings I get the loading indicator and then program quits back to the Today Screen. I'm not sure what is causing this. It could be the IDTransfer cab that I was testing, but I'm not sure. |
Yeah, the built-in is Cyberon. Try out the MS Voice Command it is MUCH better.
