Facebook for WM 6 not working since 9/23 outage
 

Just trying to find out if anybody else is experiencing this. My Facebook for WM 6 app has not worked properly since the Facebook outage on Thursday. The app will not refresh and I cannot post status updates via the app (I get a 104: Incorrect Signature error message). I have tried uninstall/reinstall, but still same problem. If I log out via the app, then log back in, it will update just then on log in and that's all. Anybody?

Seems the outage they had two days ago screwed things up. I guess we'll have to live with logging out then back in for updates until there's a fix.

Well...I hope enough people will complain that something gets done. So far there haven't been many reports of this happening that I can find...Thanks

I tried un-installing and re-installign the app,but that hasn't work as well.. Any ideas or thought??

I'm also having the problem. Reinstalled the app, thought it was working, BUT after one refresh, I had to sign out and sign in again. I think this is wide spread.

I found this info over at XDA, posted by dahauss...

"Here´s the solution...

Delete the "Facebook" and "FacebookInfo" files in the main dir of your mobile...start Facebook, login again...and it works..."

I only had the facebook.vol file in my directory but deleting it seems to have fixed the problem.

Same here. It's a no go for the past few days (since Wednesday 9/22).

I ended up deleting all face* and fb* files and folders. Re-installing the app, and it now appears to be working.

I emailed Microsoft and they said that an update is to be released within two weeks.

I've been having to do that for at least a month now.

I notice mine though when I haven't been logged in for a few days. I have to completely log out and back in for it to start working again. Yeah, annoying!

Anyone try removing the Winmo plugin from your Facebook account, then re-establishing a connection with your phone? Just grabbing @ straws here..

that was a good suggestion. I'll try and see if maybe it does work for me.....or not like it didn't for swinn

edit: I did notice when I uninstalled FB from my phone and went back into market it's now called facebook for wm and it was created 2/19/10 if that helps anyone. Make sure you have the latest version.

I also went into fb and removed it from my connections and then reestablished as suggested. Give me a few days and I can let ya know if it fails to refresh again. :)

I sure hope 7 doesn't rely on constantly updating from the net, cuz it's things like this that remind us all how fragile a network can be.

seems the log out log in trick only works for that one time for refreshing. the developers need to fix it. its been a problem for awhile.

yes kaos. i waited a few days and back to same crap, not working, haha.

i'm now on htc incredible but know that it would be nice to have had it working on wm!!

After using the app a few times, I hated it and went the browser route.

Funny, I was using the touch browser page and I'm having nothing but issues logging in there too. the mobile site and full site are fine, but the touch site and the app for me are both not working. Can't delete the app and re-install as it's built into ROM.

my FB app is not working ether for past month....I thought it was only my phone...I did hard reset and re-installed FB app and it would work for 12 hours than it would stop updating status or allow me to post...

WTF!!!

MS FB app still doesnt work. Use fim or xdafacebook app. Or just use the browser.
