is there a better text messaging software for the mogul
 

i have used the text messaging software the mogul 6800 comes with and it sucks big time. i doesnt follow like the treo 650 i used to use. is there another program i can get that works like the treo or even better?

things i hate about the mogul texting. it doesnt continue a current dialogue. so i have no idea what was said before. so if the person i am texting decides to reply a day later, i have no clue what was said. even i do scroll up im still lost cause it doesnt keep all of the text from one person together, but spreads them out by date for every text i have.

so is there another program i can get that will do much more?

You can use Threaded SMS (I think its ported by CodyPPC) or you can try a new one called something like xtreme threaded SMS. I think its still on the front page of the software forum.

i would recommend "pocketcm" besides letting u flick through ur contacts, it shows all ur text messages as conversations. and i think it just a good app

which one would be the easiest to use? but have a ton of options when i use it?

the one from codyppc is the one from the palm that was on your 650

while it is freely available via google search, palm has asked places to take it down due to copywrite issues.

the one from my treo 650 was ok but there wasnt that much upgraded options. it would have been fun to have something with more stuff.

just loaded the extreme software. its kinda does the basic job but very bland. anything else with more spice then the extreme software?

hopefully the new windows mobile 6.1 will come to the mogul which has threated text messaging built in, im sure there will be a custom rom with it eventually regardless
