CNN Live stream?

Does anyone know of a way to get CNN's live stream to work on Windows Mobile 6?

I wanted to watch the youtube debates but it doesnt work. Here is the URL that accesses the live stream, which I believe is in a Windows Media format.

http://www.cnn.com/video/live/live.html?stream=stream1

Wink

Unfortunately CNN Does broadcast with a Flash Format, This unfortunately cannot be streamed to the PocketPC, You could try SkyNews, I believe it is also being streamed there as well. You can access it via Blue-Mobile.com

It works great, but what is akamaistream.net exactly? It's frustrating that mobile browsing and video is nowhere near a desktop browsing experience, thus the need for little-known workarounds like this.

Also, how can I save this link to a playlist or favorite? When I tried "Save Playlist" I got an error saying "Cannot save the playlist because it contains one or more items that are not stored on your device or storage card." Pocket IE just gives an error and does not even try to launch media player, so no point in saving the favorite there... or is there a hack for that?

One last thing. That stream does not work right in full screen for some reason. It's like the Media Player controls go away, but the image stays the same size (doesn't stretch to fill the screen). If I uncheck "scale to fit screen" under Options it will take up the full screen and then some, so the sides of the image get chopped off. Any way to fix this?

I loaded the URL fine in WMP but for some reason I'm not getting any video stream - just audio. Anyone else confirm?

Is there any way to associate rtsp protocol links in pocket IE so that IE will open them automatically in the Media Player application?

Also, any ideas why full screen doesn't work right?

RSTP Links need to be picked up by Windows Media Player or HTC StreamingMedia (Best)
