Hydros Sync Center 8.0 Beta 2 - The latest in device Sync
 

Are you tired of the same old boring activesync or wmdc for your Windows mobile device? All of us who have used Microsoft’s so-called sync utility know that it’s nothing compared to their Zune software which they have created. Anyway, you’re now in luck. I have finally gotten to the edge of my patience trying to sync up my phone with their software and ive started making my own replacement for it. Currently, Hydros Sync Center supports being used as a normal music player as well as a device sync utility. Due to it being only a beta, you will not be able to transfer files with the phone, but already it is much more user friendly than the old Activesync. All you need to do to install is unzip the package and run the setup.exe installer.

• Add and remove songs to your media library
• Play songs
• a wave to view your songs being player (just for fun)
• RSS Feed reader
• Widget Support
• Box.net online storage (you cannot sync with it yet but you can now login and view details about account and files in it)
• Supports mp3, wav, and wma files. I couldn’t think of any more but please tell me if i missed any important ones
• View general info about windows mobile device (like battery and memory)
• View Songs on device
• Play songs from device to computer through the library

• Automatically sync up with the device
• Sync up videos and pictures on device
• View videos and pictures on computer
• Wifi sync
• Eliminate the need for activesync to be installed
• Hydros Mobile app (for locationing)
• Online Marketplace ( just finished...will post it up in beta 2)
• Login with other accounts in the internet (ex. Yahoo and google)
• Better UI
• Widgets for Home panel
• Auto Updating the app

A computer with a resolution of equal or greater than 1024×768 (because it has not been tested on any others less than that)

As per my knowledge this is a mobile addition like mobileme in which you will be able to track your phone if it gets lost and not available yet and it wont be until the full version of Hydros comes out but both Hydros and Hydros Mobile are free and open source software.

Anyway, that is correct. I am going to start on the mobile version of it right now. Did you try out the sync part of it though?
