Original Thread Here - Created by bik2000
As promised in the WVD thread, here is an application for all of you who are suffering Tube8 withdrawal. mVu Mobile Viewer - 0.7.10.0 Features: - Search sites (Tube8, YouTube, Pornhub, etc.) by keyword - Stream video to player in flv, mp4, or 3gp format (depending on site) - Save videos to device Requirements: - .Net Compact Framework 3.5 - A video player capable of playing flv, mp4 and/or 3gp videos. Coreplayer is recommended. See notes below. NOTE: Latest version can be downloaded from mVu Mobile Viewer. Latest version direct link: 0.7.10.0 Changelog: Code:
0.7.10.0 - November 15, 2010 - I have only tested this app on an Axim x51v (VGA) running WM6.1. - Coreplayer is able to stream both flv and 3gp videos smoothly - TCPMP should be able to, but I have not had much luck with it. FLV seems to choke TCPMP, and 3GP doesn't seem to work at all on TCPMP. - For streaming YouTube with TCPMP you may need to try several different formats to find one that will play well. Coreplayer should be able to stream most of the formats (other than HD formats). Known Issues: - RedTube and Xvideos files are On2 VP6 format and so will not work with Coreplayer. They will play with TCPMP, however they likely will be very slow. I am open to suggestions for improvements. I plan on making enhancements to the application, but since I've been using it, I thought I'd just get it out there. Re: mVu Mobile Viewer (7/7 v0.7.4.0)
I've been following this on XDA for some time. Bik is doing a great job with updates and is really keeping the Improvement Wagon rolling along. The app keeps getting better and better.
I have some issues getting my final (from last year) Tech1 TCPMP to play the flv files from mVu and don't know what to upgrade it to. It's played flv files from everywhere else so far including WVD and gives really good resolution! I am sure an answer will show up and then I can finally move on from WVD. mVu is definitely the best thing out right now for viewing and downloading. |
Re: mVu Mobile Viewer (7/7 v0.7.4.0)
On version 0.7.4.17 (also need to expand your text box on the about screen for the version number, cuts off the 7; last digit some).
issue I have is with the notification that the download is complete. Only choice I get is HIDE. not close, dismiss or cancel or even a method to set it to not notify when download is complete. On Rhodium (Verizon Touch Pro 2). This keeps the notifications in there till I reset the next time. Please add a settings so I can disable the download complete notification (or allow me to set a registry setting value). Or allow me to dismiss or close the notification (like I said, only get a HIDE left softkey option). All in all glad to see a WVD replacement that actually works with the sites listed in the search. keep up the good work. |
Re: mVu Mobile Viewer (7/23 v0.7.5.0)
The hide notification has been fixed along with some other fixes. For any questions or request you can follow the link in the first sentence of the first post. It will take you to the original thread were the developer checks regularly and answers questions.
