PocketPutty Question
I have a Sprint Mogul/6800, and I use PocketPutty to SSH into a linux server.
I'm not able to type any characters in PocketPutty using the phone's on-screen "symbol" keypad for some reason. The on-screen alpha-numeric keypad works fine, and I use it to send ^[ escape sequences through PocketPutty. However, the "Symbol" keypad behaves as if I did not even try to type anything. It works in other programs like Pocket IE, so I'm not sure what the problem could be. Any ideas? Edit: The symbol keypad works at the PocketPutty "Open New Connection" screen, just not once I am SSH'ed into my server. |
Hm. I use PocketPutty myself, but I use the physical keyboard on my 6700... had not noticed this. I'll have to give it a shot and see if it misbehaves in the same way.
It could be that the symbols just aren't ANSI characters? |

By the way... I am using PocketPutty v0.1 if that matters. |
Wow... old version?
http://www.pocketputty.net/download.html I'm using the PocketPuTTY 2007-02-28 dev build for WM2003 (release) version, its really good! Ah... and the | key works fine in that version. I used to be able to use the red dot + sym (spacebar) + \ to get the | symbol as well, but that seems to not be working anymore for me... must have forgot the mojo for that Yep, that does not work (on screen keyboard does, but you should be able to type \ then red-dot, then space, to get |, repeat to get /) |
Just D/Led and tried the newer "Build" version for WM2003. It works fine with the symbol pad.

Looks like keys are in the registry

Anyone have an issue with PocketPutty taking over a minute to connect to a server???
|
mine takes a long time to connect but then is fast after login.
When I connect and get the RSA key for the first time it does take a LONG time too. |
