happened to me once. two tp2s dialed intl numbers at the same time at like 1 in the morning. didnt have that game installed, to this day still not 100% sure what caused it.

Arent there apps out there that keep the phone from dialing after a specified time? Usually intended so you dont c all someone drunk, but it may work for this too.

yes there are but even if you had those you would still have malware on your phone. sure they may not call out but do you really want malware there at all?

lookout mobile security has a free anitvirus. That is what I use. I emailed them about that malware and they say that it would detect it.

yea nrfitchett4 hooked me up with lookout after i reported my issue, never happened again.

Any memory / performance hits ? Or is this strictly an on-demand scanner ?

I don't notice any memory or performance issues. It seems to be an on-demand app. It doesn't ever show up on my running-in-background list. I run it every week when I do my back-up and haven't had any malware to catch so far. Maybe there is a way to keep it turned on that I don't know about.
