I was wondering about this as well as it recently started happening to me. I use Google as my default search engine for Opera. Thanks Josh3794, I think that took care of my issue.

What you do in Opera is enter opera:config in the address bar, then scroll down and click 'User Agent'. Change the numeric value for 'Spoof User Agent ID' to 4 (this masks your browser to websites, making it appear to be a Mozilla browser). Save. Then scroll a bit further down to the 'User Prefs' category, and scroll WAAAAY down to 'UAProf URL Enabled' and uncheck it. Save.

You can find out what ALL the settings do here: http://www.opera.com/support/usingop...aini/#usermode
(Some settings do not apply to mobile devices)

thanks andrewman! I tried that last week after reading your post and I haven't been using the browser much since then but last night I used it for a little bit and don't recall having any mobile formatted pages. Though I didn't do the second step because I couldn't find that setting and I looked through all the options several times and tried searching the page for it. But it still seemed to work so I guess its ok without it.
