I installed to main memory, open contacts, clicked first last, the soft reset. All contacts are still in last first order, but when I actually open a contact, it is sorted first last.

How come they are not sorting first last unless I open a contact?


EDIT: If I sort each one individually by first last, when I open contacts, they are sorted that way; seems a bit redundant to have to do them 1 @ a time.

And yet another way is to just add the person's name to the "Company" field in your contact list. :wink:

Bringing this one back from the dead...again. I've been searching for a couple days now, and still can't figure out a way to make poutlook default to sorting contacts as first,last. There are a million ways to change the sorting after the fact, through 3rd party proggies and changing the 'file as' field 1 by 1, but what I want is for my address book to assume 'first, last' sorting for every new contact I make. Whenever I add a new contact or change the name of an old one, the 'file as' field gets set to 'last, first'.

With all the demand for programs that change this after the fact, isn't there someone who's discovered a reg hack to make this a default action?

ahah, I found it! This is coming in handy today with me using your old HTC Touch, which you only used a little while and is still in brand new condition ;) I love it!
