also, easy cd-da extractor, it works wonders. I was making my own before... so to get some ringtones of my own, i have to convert to a wma file for the mogul? because was reading in the manual and i thought it said we just drop them in a certain folder? also, it said we could use mp3s. you can go to sprintusers.com to upload and send yourself a txt with the links to download the data files... you all probably know this already though.

I have files convertered into WAV so I can use for text tones, but I cant get the files into the Windows directory. Do they need to be in that directory to work right? I'll try a couple things, any help would be appreciated.

for texting i have mine converted to wma format then i have them droped in the windows folder and they should show up in the sound and notifications under texting that's how i do mine. I also edit mine to only play for like 5 seconds since you can't cut them off

Ok, I can change to another format, but when syncing, Im not seeing the Windows file in the directory and cant move it through the phone itself either.

when you sync your phone to your computer the very first icon after hitting the explore button i don't know what it's called at this time but that first icon in the top left corner with the phone shape takes you to where your windows folder is, you should be able to get to it from there.

Would it matter if Im running Vista. I cant see the Windows file anywhere and I cant get into a file to see if its hidden. Im running HTC Touch WM6

If I recall correctly, you can't see the Windows folder from the comp. you would have to send it to another folder and use file explorer to move it to the windows folder. Also, I THINK you can actually put your files in the My Documents folder on your Storage Card and you should be able to retrieve it. One of the major reasons I like PhotoContacts is the fact that you can retrieve the tone from anywhere on your phone and it can be in mp3 format. hope this helps

Mortring??? What did i do wrong??

I installed mortring and made some WAVs. Then put them in the Windows folder(on my 6800). It found them and they were selectable as text tones. AWESOME. Problem is that if the person who I applied the text tone to CALLS me on the phone Mortring wont use a text tone next time they text. When I noticed this i started to text and call from my wifes phone and sure nuff...wont work. When I go to Mortring and look at contacts the slot for text tone is now blank. What the hell?????
