Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile 6.0) 480x800; XV6975; Window Mobile 6.5 Professional;)

AirScanner mobile has a firewall and virus scanner that I trialed a few months ago. Not free though. There are apparently very few threats targeting Windows mobile, so I removed it.

I subscribe to conspiracies, so I use Lookout. It's free right now.

I like the lost phone feature, hows the battery drain on this? I always wondered with Mobile AV products like this, what they get out of it for free? Are they spying on us, thinking they are really keeping our phones safe? I cook my own roms so I know what goes in them, but you always wonder about these sys leaks from china and russia, what they could be doing to them before they leak them! I doubt anything but I am just throwing that out there.

doesn't seem to really affect my battery life, but I charge every night no matter what. I've been running this since my Diamond, too. I like it.

thank you I'll give it a try.

> There are apparently very few threats

that was my other question. I realized that I already have quite a lot of
personal info on the phone while it is exposed to the internet
as a non -firewalled PC...

I'm not an expert in this stuff,
so I'm not sure how dangerous it is ..

so you are saying that hackers in principle cannot retrieve the files from the windows mobile phone remotely, or simply that they do not yet explore actively such an opportunity, so that the changes to get hacked are small?

I installed SmartPhoneTracker for the lost phone case... so far, it helped me to
find my phone once, lost in a backyard.. :)

I would expect much from Russia and China - a lot of bad things going on over there. Granted, you can find some good legit apps, but I'd rinse with bleach first... :toothy7:
