I need an idea to make an app!!!
 

hey guys, do any of you have an i dea of a nice app that you've always wanted but cant make apps? i need an idea to make one please give me some suggestions. i have made a few apps now even though im new to programming. Alot of you might have downloaded my first one (i know that was real laggy and stuff). I need an idea that you think TONS of people would download and would buy for $0.99 (not that im planning to sell it).
I would most likely make one of those useless apps like some of those for the iphone (of course people wouldnt pay $0.99 for those). we just dont have many time wasters for winmo.

make a wysiwyg app which allows other people with zero coding skills to make their own apps. I would by that.

I've got a few ideas. How about a nice finger friendly photo viewer. I know slide to view hasn't been updated in awhile. If you can, give this app kinetic scrolling, like the iPhone(for phones that don't have a good photo viewer, like mine). I would suggest doing a music app, but A_C(of s2u2 fame) pretty much has that covered. Other than that, I all out of ideas. I'll make a new post if I have a new idea. :)

How about a camera app that allows you to take before and after pictures from the same point using a transparancy from the before pictures so you could match it up perfectly. It would be good for decorators, painters, gardeners etc... I'd pay more then a dollar for that

How about a really nice checkbook and credit card application. Something that allows you to keep track of all of you banking account needs without having to either A. carry around a checkbook, or b. pay a friggin arm and a leg just because you don't want to go into over draft.

second idea:

There used to be alot of good apps for this, but seems like since wm 6.5 came out everyone gave up on it. A vehicle maintenance app. that keeps track of you gas purchases, oil, tires, maintenance and such, and tells you what your present and average mpg is. cant ever find a good one of those any more either.

Here's one. Millions of people have netflix. Netflix has a mobile app in Marketplace- but it only allows you to pick out a movie- not watch it on your mobile phone. Netflix also streams movies to your PC but not to your PPC (mobile) because they have some sort of Silverlight based viewer. So make a little app that will allow you to stream your Netflix to your mobile phone. I would pay .99 for it.

I have no idea if the TP2 has this, but my sprint diamond alrealdy has that. you can already set a specific ringtone for each person when they call (actually, im not sure if it is for text or not). Is this what you mean? If it is, PM me and il tell you how to do this. If this isnt what your talking about, PM me and tell me what you need.

GPD enabled reminders. I can write a note to pick up milk at the store but unless I read my notes every time I get somewhere, I'm not going to know to get milk... know what I'm saying?

If there was an app that I could run when I got to a place I went often (store, bank, home, work...) name the location and set a distance (like 1 mile or 5 miles) then when I made a reminder I could attach it to the location. When I got within the distance the alarm would sound.

a better photo editor...brightness,contrast,crop,funny frames etc. so you can edit after the pic is taken. who can pause time while they adjust these options before they click a pic?

keychain loyalty card organizer from android would be sweet.

call lookup that actually works for free...how many numbers call me and i google and search but can never find a name without being asked for my credit card. eventually i just give up.

another app that would utilize the camera would be a real clinometer app. I don't mean those glorified bubble level apps, but a real sighting clinometer that would use the gsensor to provide a readout of the angle ect..

I have been wanting that app for a long time, and even had a few aspiring programmers attempt, but alas they got lost looking for api/frameworks.

got a gooder since win mobile 6.5 dosent alow old today plugins under titanium or sense 2.5 why not a split screen app for the today plugins. sense and titanium are both plugins so rilly. another one how about a small app to put ur gps in the top system tray ...aka signal meater and maybe speed next to your cell signal thanks

ok i would love to make all of your apps that you want but only one problem. I am just a begginer programmer, and i cant do anything too big for now. Dont worry, i am constantly trying to fnd tutorials ect. online to learn c++. I do know the basics, though. So, i would like you guys to give some easier suggestions like maybe something that you can download background pictures from, so then you can put them as your background. Or maybe some timewasting iphone app that you might want real bad (sorry i wish i could really bad but i cant make a winmo pocketgod yet) like bubble wrap that you can pop or fart machine, beat maker etc.

Sorry if this disapointed you guys. Im still learning.

Edit: i bought c++ for dummies and im halfway through (i know more now!)

kinda like this only using the camera as a veiwfinder (picture records center line and deg of angle [compass heading if ppc has the hardware])
a true sighting clinometer is used by outdoorsmen, climbers, and good satellite techs.

yea, you can set the ringtone, but not the incoming text tone. having an app that does just that would be killer

How about a Craigs List App.. Craigs list is one of the most mobile viewed sites in the world and yet there is no app to parse the information off of the site and reformat it to look nice on our phones.. Something like this would be fairly simple for you to code as a beginner.

How about an app the syncs with Sprint's sms/mms count so that I don't have to go to the site every other day to know how many more texts I can use before getting sodomized? I know there are apps out there that count your texts but they are done directly to your phone. I just want to see what the site says. I know alot of people have unlimited, but I don't therefore it should be done since I am that important. :)

Does your TP2 allow you to choose between known and unknown callers as a group and set ring tones for those groups? I am stuck with my Touch Pro until someone develops an application to allow this on all these "Super Smart Phones" that cant do this. I NEED THIS FEATURE MORE THAN ANY OTHER! Someone please make this app!

I would love to see an mp3 tag editor on my TP2.
Sometimes i download mp3 on my TP2 and i would like to edit them on the spot!

A beat maker would be grand imo! Something simple but allows you to choose a song and make a beat over it. I'm a musician and I don't have a lot of time to use computer software to make drum beats for my music. Doesn't have to be complex; oh and being able to save the beat would be fantastic! Let me know what ya think of this idea!

How about a baseball game stats tracker.

Looking for similar to what you would do with the paper version that has a picture of the diamond and you mark down where the hit was to, how caught it or how grabbed the ball and thru to what base...etc.

Had this idea a couple of days ago while at sons little leage game. They also keep track of how many pitches each pitcher throws (rules are no more than 40 pitches by one player in 1 game).

i have no calls, it is a cab that you can block unknown callers. does this help?
