manila 2.5, shortcut to contact group on home page??
 

basically i would like to have a shortcut on the home page to a group of contacts.

is it possible? if you ask me, that should be a default feature.
when you hit add quick link, then contacts, you should be able to select a group.

but you cant by default, so is there any other way to do this?

also if you ask me, i think it should be a simple app to write, and if someone is up to the challenge there should also be an option to add a "group" which will consist of contacts that are not in any group.

that way you dont have to put all the people that are not in a group, in their own "no group" group.

but right now its a real pain:
1. go to people tab
2. select all people
3. select groups
4. select the desired group
5. select "people" in the desired group
6. select the desired contact

it should be
1. select shortcut to the desired group
2. select desired contact
3. BAM

I have a shortcut to Resco Contacts as a soft key on my home screen. It lets you set whatever you want to normally pull up: Favorites, group etc.

On top of that, it comes with a great plugin that you can populate with anything you have on the phone: apps, files, contacts....

You can use that in either Second Today or ManilaTodayScreen.

i cant to find a way to make new groups for the life of me
and can the today plugin work with sense ui and winmo 6.5.5

other then that even though the program doesnt do exactly what i wanted
there is an option to return to last viewed group when you go to contacts
and that will work perfectly

i just dont want to sort through the entire list to get the numbers i need for work when im at work
and i also dont want to ad a W or something of that sort in from of the contacts for work so there all together(thats what i have been doing)

and i swear i installed it then through "group action" selected the work contacts and added them to the "work" group, which was also created at that time.
but since then i flashed a different rom, and now i just cant figure out how in the world to make a new group

EDIT: been using resco contact manager all day, and its great, will have to purchase for sure
told some at work about it
