Uninstall programs the won't uninstall
 

What do you guys use to uninstall programs the won't uninstall thru remove programs - it says unable to uninstall completely and it asks if you want to remove it from the list. I answered yes but it is still there. I tries installing the program again and then uninstall - same result. Is there a reg edit to get rid of it?

yeah, that happed to me recently and it is with every one of my apps now.. so i guess im stuck with the same boring apps if some one doesnt fix this.

Yeah, the old WMWifiRouter does this. I have yet to figure out a way to get rid of it.

I had a similar problem, the list of installed applications disappeared after I installed an applicaiton. Anyway, what I did was to reinstall the application and used MemMaid to uninstall the application. Some applications also require disabling before they can be uninstalled.

I would try A program like Memmaid to remove it completely by destroying the program shortcut and the program files.

What I find that works is, run the installation file. It will tell you it needs to remove the old program. Click okay. It will then tell you it cannot remove the program and would you like to continue with the install. Click yes. The program will go through the install process but what it is really doing is removing the program.

To test this. After the install is complete, run the install file again and it will just ask you where you want to install it and not mention anything about needing to remove the program, because it is no longer there!

SK Tools has an uninstall option that may do the job even if the normal Remove Program fails.

Is there anything that can be used to uninstall programs that were cooked in a ROM? Say the stock ROM? :angel4:

Delete the file from the windows folder. if it doesnt fully delete it, it at least removes the links. but i think it "fully" deletes the app. im sure there are some reg entries that are left behind

You cant uninstall files cooked in rom. 3rd apps that you cant uninstall with remove apps options, you can uninstall with SK Tools(uninstall and standard uninstall options).
