Not that I know of... After doing some research, it appears the device from the movie utilizes some form of echolocation, now, due to the speaker and microphone being mounted on the side of most devices facing the user, Such and app wold be impractical in the real world on a mobile device, the device would need to be purpose built, or an echolocation assembly constructed that mounted into the CF slot, faced forward, and then reported to a program with a similar display. That is not to say I won't try my best to create a simulation that is faithful to the concept... I may have to use different sound effects, because clicks at too high a volume can damage a ppc's speaker. But a nice "ping" effect sychronized to a waveform on the screen might work. I'll see what I can do.

You asked, and so here it is! The Motion Tracker from the movie "Alien". I've added a couple of functions to use up more screen space, but the concept, end result, and sound effects are as close to the movie as I could find.

Ever wanted to REALLY freak your friends out? Now you can, with this Geiger Counter! This gadget is a "Port" (of sorts...) of the Geiger Counter developed by FiddleMeRagged for the iPhone (Why should iPhoners get all the cool stuff?). Here is a link to the original: http://www.fiddlemeragged.com/Fiddle...erCounter.html

There are two versions, one with soundless buttons, and one with buttons that make noise.

DNA ScannerSE MkII Upgrade

1 Attachment(s)
I made a slight error when creating the DNA Scanner, the Base Pair sequence was displaying impossible base pairs, "A" can only pair with "T" and "C" can only pair with "G" and vice versa. That oversight has been corrected in this final release of the DNA Scanner series.

Enjoy!

(EDIT 1/20/2011: Version upgrade to Mk III with new ActiveHold feature!)

New Gadget: Light-Bar

3 Attachment(s)
After several hours spent fruitlessly searching for a Light-bar App for Windows Mobile, I finally decided to make one on my own. Here it is: the Light-Bar. It has light patterns for several of the most common vehicles, from Construction to Fire-Rescue. In addition, the "S" version has authentic sound effects, for added realism. Have Fun!

New Gadget: INCEPTION Panel

2 Attachment(s)
I saw an "INCEPTION Button" for the Android, and decided to create one for the rest of us - with a few extra features. The sounds are from and similar to the iconic sound from the movie "INCEPTION". Whenever you need to add dramatic tension or an ominous ending to any situation, just use one of these buttons.
