Does anyone know how to stop this I've played with just about every setting of quick menu and still no luck - by the way it happens about 80% of the time. Pretty petty but still annoys the heck out of me.

ive had this same problem except with a new SMS. does anyone know a way to fix this little bug?

Wow, it's been a while since anyone posted in this thread. I'm hopin' someone can help me. As much as i like quickmenu, i'd like to remove it it for a little while. Problem is, it won't let me. When ever i try to delete it from the statup folder, it's telling me there's a sharing violation and it's in use. I know it's in use, but i don't want it to be in use, but i can't get rid of it cause it's in use. grrrrrrr!! :( Does any one how to get rid of it? thanks in advance. dschoenike

I haven't used it in a while, but from what I remember I thought there was an option setting where you could tell it to launch at startup or not. Disable the startup option then reset and you should be able to uninstall or just keep it and launch it manually if you want. Again, it's been a while so maybe someone with it running can confirm.

If that doesn't work I think you can choose the Quickmenu option from the menu then it's either close or exit to stop Quickmenu. Final option. Kill quickmenu.exe with a task manager and then delete the quickmenu.lnk from the startup folder.

Glad it worked. Haven't used that one in a while. Swapped it for WKTask to do everthing I was using Quickmenu for.

That's why i'm removing quickmenu, was gonna look for a replacement. So you like WKtask better hey? Think i'll give it a shot. If it's not too much trouble, do ya have a link to a download cab for it? Or any kind of download? If not, it's alright, i'll just do a search. thanks dschoenike

I was really only using Quickmenu for the task manager stuff and for occasional soft rests. Decided I like WKTask better as a manager. Don't really use the launcher option. I also like the Birghtness/Volume controls it offers.

Here you go...

Sweet, thanks again for all your help. I'll give it a whirl. The only thing i was using qmenu for was its hibernate function. Stupid low ram mogul really benefitted from that feature. But, time to try WKtask :) dschoenike
