WMWifiRouter HELP
 

Ok so I downloaded the WMWifiRouter v.81 onto my HTC Touch with a data plan and an internet sharing application. Everything works good up until it say "FATAL ERROR; WLAN not responding!" Or...it will say "Connected; Ready!" but then a few seconds later revert back to FATAL ERROR...Any ideas?

Maybe try getting the latest version? They are up to 1.61 now.

I've tried that but for some reason it always says "Jorrit Jongma WMWifiRouter" cannot be installed, all the versions I've downloaded at least. I 'had' the trial of the latest one working and the .81 installed but not working. I'd be happy to buy the latest one but I couldn't get the trial working just right, and it expired before I could get it working, sent emails, one reply, nothing more. So I resorted to the .81 version. If you have any suggestions for installing the .91 version that'd be great =].

do you have the htc touch, or the htc touch diamond? the touch will not work with this program, because it does not have wifi. The diamond, however, will work.

Good catch there Snowplow54.

In the meantime, if are testing this before purchase, just go to http://www.wmwifirouter.com/ and get the latest release. When installed without a key it IS a demo. Test that with your bluetooth or USB tether and that may do the trick for you.

I did, trial expired already. Didn't get it to properly act as a hotspot, at least my itouch could not see it. Sent an email asking to receive one more trial but no response. now what...haha

The HTC Touch does NOT have WiFi, the HTC Touch Pro/2 and HTC Diamond have WiFi.

yes I had the trial, but by the time I tried to hook up my itouch to it, it expired . I sent emails asking for help and maybe if I could get a new trial but no response =/

ok they just updated me with a new trial for 21 days, so I can try this again. You said there is no Wi-Fi on the Htc Touch, but it is said to still have been built in, but disabled for who knows what reason(from what I've read). I've read online and there has been talk of editing the registry to turn this back on. any help?

there is no wifi on the touch but however with the new version of the wmwifirouter u can try using the usb conection if u prefer and as far as editing the registry goes i would prefer to jus leave it alone for now as u cant make something do what it cant do its just gonna mess up on u so
