Problems with Pocket SNES

Hello all, I was running Pocket SNES fine on my 6700 without problems and then I went to fire it up and the program didn't see the roms on my storage card. They're still there when I go to the directory in file explorer though. I tried changing the Pocket SNES.exe's location and tried deleting/replacing it and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Hmm sounds like u dont have the right roms, be sure the extension is either .smc, .fig, or .zip. All my roms are .smc and they show up and work great

I've been having the same problem as well. I can verify that the files are valid ROMS as when I move the ROM from the storage card to the device, it shows up. From what I've been able to tell, the file explorer within the emulator doesn't even give you the option to look in the storage card.

I'm stuck, I know that my ROMS are valid as I've played them on my 6700 before it started doing this, I've played them on my PC, and on my PS2. I tried moving some ROMS to my device, tried moving the emulator.exe to the device, and nothing. It used to search out all .smc - .zip files and put them in one drop down menu, now it always brings me to My Documents, I can browse everything including the storage card but it won't see the ROMS. I've also tried unpacking the .zips into .smc and it doesn't help. Someone help please!!!!!...............Thank you

Do you have your extrom unlocked? PocketSNES may be confusing your storage card and your extrom.

I don't think the extrom is unlocked. i removed adware with total commander in the extended rom, is that unlocking it? Other than that I haven't messed with the rom...........it scares me.

Yes, if you were poking at your extended rom then there is a good
possibility it's been unlocked generally. PocketSNES may be confusing
it with your regular storage card. In some programs you can reselect
the appropriate location and have things work out, but certain others
are just a bit incompatible with extended rom being unlocked.

You might also try copying the roms to the extended rom, though think
you'll likely only fit a few.

I don't see how you guys can play games on it. I tried to play super mario allstars on my 6800 and it took forever for me to do everything in the game lol :-p

Kolano thanks for the reply, I'll have to try that. Do you think that will help with the program recognizing the roms? I don't have a problem being able to browse to the folder that they're located in, the program just doesn't see them.

playing any emu games on the 6700 is a downright hassle... not even worth it.
for one thing, there no comfortable way to play any game with the hard buttons and dpad.
second, theres no comfortable way to play any game with the touchscreen, even when you use the keyboard/button press fix.

i can imagine playing games on an iphone or larger screened, non bezel phone though.
maybe the touch would be a better candidate.

Well if your playing games that really require a controller then it will be a pita. Try easier games like micro machines or sonic(not snes) Games that only need directional imput and one action. Running with a turtle shell and jumping is one of the hardest things to do....comfortably.
