GPS Program not Requiring Internet
What program do yall use for GPS when you are not in good enough service area to download the maps? I have an HTC Touch with Sprint and love Google Maps but get frustrated when I don't have good cell reception and can't find out where I am.
I did some searching around here and saw Garmin XT seems to be popular, any others? Also, I have never looked at Sprint Navigation but does that require an internet cell connection to work? Thanks everyone and Merry Christmas, Brian |

Garmin is a great program if you buy it.

Re: GPS Program not Requiring Internet
I have used Mobile GMaps (http://www.mgmaps.com/). It supports offline maps and there are tools available to download tiles of the online maps that allows them the used offline.

TomTom Navigator also works well without requiring an internet connection.

Re: GPS Program not Requiring Internet
I was using TomTom, but have since changed over to IGo for my GPS. Works great and the preloaded maps don't let me down when I am in airplane mode (when I am on the water or in the mountains).

Navicomputer is cool for free, new features being added often. Read/search the XDA thread for tips on alternate maps like virtualearth.
