I think this version is the best so far on battery drain with the TP2. It seems to cause little to no drain.

Give me a break, this has been posted about every single version for over a year now.

Everybody realizes by now, the first thing you do when you need more battery life is uninstall s2u2.........

Your constant bashing of S2U2 is really getting old. I've had zero (0) battery drain with the past few versions of S2U2.

Works great on my TP2. Battery life stays good for me. This guy is great . He's all ways improving this program to make it better. Thanks. Some of us do appreciate your hard work.

yeah im with you my phone can go for 12hrs on stand by and only go down to 50% with 20+ texts and a few calls also the weather updating every 4hrs and my email every 2hrs so i think this is pretty bad ass as for my touch i couldnt go 7hrs. so i think the battery issue that people have is in there heads or maybe they are using the phone a lot.

Dude there is no battery drain here. Ever since 2.14 it has been good on battery drain.

I have to agree. I left S2U2 back around 1.6 for Pocket Shield due to battery drain and stability issues when I had my Touch Pro. I came back when Sprint swapped my TP for a TP2. I have had zero problems with S2U2 in these last few versions. I am using it even though I have a paid license for Pocket Shield.

I noticed jmort has a custom ROM... There lies his problem with battery drain. might want to try another ROM.

I've used the same ROM with no issues. I don't know which version of S2U2 he used last, but from his posts he hasn't used it recently. I'll admit, any version of S2U2 lower than 2.12 had a terrible battery drain on my TP2. So much so I was using Pocket Shield for a while. But now I have virtually no drain at all. When I woke up today after 7 1/2 hours my battery drained only 2%.

Been back on the S2U2 team since 2.20 and haven't looked back.

I personally love S2U2. I recommend it for all of my friends who have a PPC, none of them have complained about it draining their batteries.
