Re: Dashwire 2.0 (Updated 6/24/08)

One thing I have noticed lately is that my pics don't sync until I do a reset. I either take or save pics on my phone, and they do not show up in DashBoard or DashWire until I do a reset, and then they are there....no problem. It is a minor thing, just thought I would mention that and see if anyone else saw the same issue.

When did you start to notice this? Definitely not the functionality we wanted users to experience with out updated mobile client. Go ahead and reach out to us privately (you know us pretty well by now :)) and we'll see if we can get it fixed.

Yep with Dashwire you can use wifi, bluetooth, usb, or wireless data. Whatever your phone's default connection happens to be.

That's a plus over friendmobilizer which requires a data plan. So currently you can share photos on your FB account only when you log in to the website, correct? It would be great if you could slect your facebook account on the phone just like you do on the DW web interface.

How much system resource does DW pull on PPC6800? I am finding that operating RAM is a scarcity on this device. after 1 or 2 programs and it dips under 10MB the device starts getting pretty sluggish.

I started noticing it a couple weeks back (I did post it here a few pages back) but never put it together until resently.

Is there a way to sync the photos and videos on my docs located on the SD card?

Go into your multimedia/camera settings and relocate the storage to your memory card. That should create a folder for pics (mine is named DCIM) after that, you move/store the pics you want in DashWire in there, and then you have them syncing from your memory card. I haven't done it, but I would assume the procedure would be the same for video)

Yep you're correct. For now that's the FB functionality, but we've definitely thought about what you're suggesting. Going to happen in the near future.

Can't tell you too much in terms of system resources on specific devices. Might run into a small problem when your either inititally syncing or syncing large amounts of data. Day to day though shouldn't be too much of drain.
