Disable charging over USB:

If your device can charge over USB, you can probably disable this feature by setting:
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\usbfndrv\EnableUsbCharging = 0 (DWORD decimal)
And to re-enable:
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\usbfndrv\EnableUsbCharging = 1 (DWORD decimal)

hey mike where is that key on the 6700 i cannot locate it

try adding the key if u don't have it.

i was thinking about trying to add it to my treowx and see if it would charge

and its weird the treo has "usbfndrv" the 6700 only has "usbfn"

I just wonder why anyone wants to disable charging over usb. I love this feature. :scratch: When I can't find my charger, I just plug it in the usb.

One of the things I miss about the 6700 is charging from usb. I would go out of town, all I needed to take was my laptop, Nexzen BT, and my 6700. I could plug in the laptop then just plug in the PPC and BT to usb. When I woke up everything was charged. Now I need a charger for the 700wx, I will leave it in a hotel room sooner or later :(

I have a P3600 with WM6.1 and I need diable USB charge when connected to de laptop.
