Remove System Tray Icons

To Remove Screen Rotation:

HKLM\services\screenrotate === change from 1 to 0 (zero)

To Remove the Wireless connection manager:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\WirelessMgr and change the DWORD Keep to 0,

I have extra sounds now????

I made the registry change to take away the Comm Manager icon in the tray. When I rebooted, the Comm Manager and Battery icon were gone. However, now my phone vibrates several times and plays several of the sounds for the first several minutes after rebooting. I think it's doing this as different programs are starting, but I'm not sure. If that is it, I can't figure out how to turn them off. Any ideas? I don't soft reset that much, but it's annoying because I'm concerned it might be something else. Any ideas? Thanks!

I want to do this. Also to remove the battery icon in the tray too. My big question is... after I remove the 3 icons will I gain the screen realestate back or will there just be a 1/4" blank space at the bottom of the screen??

Tray launcher area disappears if empty. So if remove everything you try, space you will have young Skywalker.

The file http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...7&d=1132420396 Traydisplayinstall 196.cab works perfectly in WM6.1 for removal of the nasty intellisync icon in the Tray and any other useless icons displayed there.

Thanks to ei99070 from XDA Forum for this lovely cab file. Original thread here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=248968

So you want to hide your system tray?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why? Because it useless and it ocupies a line of space that could be used by a today plugin!!!

TrayDisplay is what you need!!! Built with ATL C++, it comes in two files:
HideTray: that makes tour system tray invisible;
DisplayTray: that makes tour system tray visible!!

It makes a shortcut on your \Windows\StartUp folder so that everytime you reset your PPC, it will hide the tray!
When the file is run, it makes it's job and then end's so that it doesn't stay in memory.

This file is not a patch, but an application!
Hope I'll get some feedback

Bug fixed: screen rotation, then execute TrayDisplay would make the height of the plugins to be wrong!
