Lost Wireless Radio!!!

I think I deleted my wireless radio by mistake does anyone know where the file is located. Now I don't have no signal no nothing!!!! Can anyone lend a helping hand here. By the way this is on a 6700 from Sprint!!

Thank you!!!

First suggestion I would have is to try a hard reset...I believe that is something that should come back when you swipe the slate clean!!

Good luck!!

Yes I just try the hard reset but without any luck. I think I'm going to the sprint store to see if they can help me. I check under my Device information and my PRL version and PRI version are blank. Also, my protocol version is blank!!

Does any one have any more suggestions?

I see....You may be OK then, it sounds like maybe you just deleted your settings, not the actual 'radio program'. I bet they will just fill in the blanks, and you will be set.

Let us know if that is the case....good luck!

OK. This is what's going with my 6700 when I left the battery out for a couple of hours and I placed it back in the radio was back. Now if I want to do a soft reset or take the battery out and put it back in quickly then the radio will come out missing. Now I'm looking to see if I could find a radio upgrade program here. I saw the other day a Phoenix Radio for the 6700 supposely it increases your signal replacing the stock radio on the 6700.

Any suggestions?

Here is my latest if your phone looses it's wireless radio take it back to the store and exchange it.. lol!!! The problem was not my software and it was the phone operating system.

Thanks a lot for all the help provided!!

radio 1.41 update

Hello, has anyonw had a problem with the radio update that when it goes to load it is states the the country id does not match my phone.
I recently did the wm6 upgrade and all that works, but i cant seem to get the radio update to work. also, when i go to boot loader, it then goes to usb, and then only shows the version to upgrade 2, none of my info, and when i leave the phone on and not go into loader mode, then it sees my version and then the upgrade version and then i get the first issue with the country id not being right. i APPRECIATE ANY HELP YOU CAN BE

if your radio "disappears" that usually means the hardware is going bad... sometimes, as others posted here, it means you're using a bad battery.

Backup your phone (chances are whatever you are going to do, it will mean wiping your phone, or exchanging it)

1) Plug phone into AC, Soft reset.... radio there? That's probably good news - no radio? Go to step 2
How old is your battery? Maybe get a new one... see if radio sticks around

2) Hard reset phone (still plugged into AC) - then see step 1...

3) uh oh... still no radio? Time to visit sprint. Reflash to Sprint OEM Rom first. Return to store. Point at phone. Say "It's broken... no calls!" and nothing more. Get out wallet, pay $50, get repaired.

All correct. Except flashing to a Sprint OEM ROM with no radio is a little tricky. You need to extract all the files out of the APAC...whatever....exe file (it's just an executable Zip file), and then remove the radio.nbf before running the upgrade. You may also need to use one of the _NoID ROM installers. I'm not sure about that.

I just went through this exact process last week, so if you need more detailed instructions I can provide them.

Radio

The best thing to do is to take it to the sprint store and they will replace at no charge. Is better than the 50 dollars you have to pay using your insurance.

put the phone in bootloader mode and falsh back to the stock rom, once that done flash back w.e rom you want, i kno this works for me ive done it like nine times

That sounds similar in a way to what happened with the older mogul roms. You would lose internet connectivity due to a corruption of the phones parameters. You could do a hard (factory) reset and it would not help. If you called sprint they would have you enter ##786# on the pad and enter your MSL and it would reset the entire phone and you would have to reprovision the phone like you did when it was new.
