Hide Today Screen Lines

For years the bane of a beautiful Today screen theme was the horizontal lines separating each item. It seems Microsoft has been hiding the setting to remove these annoying lines for some time. The registry edit to remove them are:
In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Today add a new DWord key with name “HidePluginSeparators” and value 1
Soft-reset after the edit.
This registry edit does not work in all ROM’s and may be a new feature only added in the latest Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM’s. Try it out and let us know the results of your efforts.

worked for me....I did a reboot as opposed to a soft reset...turned the phone off then back on.....thanks!!!!!

You need to make sure you wait a minute or two and try doing a soft reset not by pushing the little button with the sylus. You can hold the power button and it will turn of then push it again...worked perfect. very cool, thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey guys, if any of you have sk tools, you can change your plug in lines to the same color as your today background theme. Only if it's a solid color. It works real well. Here's a couple screen shots. Hope it Helps.

didnt work on my touch either, I have tried this several times, manually editing the registry, a different cab by someone else and this one. NOTHING WORKS. When I started with this I didnt care too much about the lines, now its personal!, I want them gone! anyone that can help? HTC 6900, sprint stock rom, wm 6.1

guys just download UI Tweaker... done this for my 700wx and it works perfectly ! hope this helps

giving it a shot on Verizon XV6800 MR1 rom, let you know what happens. Also, do you have a tweak to get rid of that damn wireless sync icon on the bottom right?

no i didnt try that because I use pictures as my background. what do you mean by how to get that wireless sync thing out? existing? im not familiar with that

Can UI tweaker remove the lines or can it just change the line color. I don't see a setting for line removal just color.

It can only change the colors to your bg color to give the illusion that the lines are gone.
