Ringtones Location - Problems Moving to Storage Card
Running a Treo 700wx
I am stumped ... I changed my location of my Ringtones to my storage card (to save space) by changing the registry setting: HKCU\ControlPanel\?SoundCategories\Ring\Directory = "\Storage Card\Rings\" (REG_SZ string, no quotes) When I go to Settings\Personal\Sounds & Notifications\Manage\Menu\Add To add an MP3 as a new ringtone, it still continues to save it to the original location of: \Windows\Rings Is there another Registry setting I need to change? I have done the soft reset after the registry change and know it is looking to the storage card, because I can only play rings which I copied from the original \Windows directory to the new Rings directory on the storage card. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
I finally got it to work after 3days of trying, I edited the sound category directory to say storage card. I didn't reset the phone or anything I moved my ringtones to my documents manually, but the trick is do not goto the phone options looking for your new set tones u have to goto sounds and notfications under personal settings, if u don't want it to goto the windows/rings folder ignore the set as ringtone option in the subcontext menu.
