Sprint can do it its called a ringtime extension. Nextel has been doing it for years, it goes from 4 rings to 9 rings. Just got to call customer care and tell them you want a ringtime extension. You have to be on the Ensemble billing system though.

what is the ensemble billing system? and what does that have to do with them changing the number of rings?

Ensemble is Nextel's billing system Sprint is P2K now that Sprint merged with Nextel they have to swap over to Nextels Billing System (Ensemble). As far as what it has to do with the rings is that Ensemble is linked to the Order Entry system we use to do things like ringtime extensions for Nextel and its the only system that can do it, P2K cannot. Easy way to tell is to log into MySprint and if you can do a handset swap online, you are on the correct system or call CS

getting the run around with CS, they keep telling me it's my ringer, but they also say the system waits 23sec before fwding to vm. Is it just me or is 23sec brief. anyway, any tips i can pass along to whatever rep i'm working with to help them find this setting?

does this work with cdma only phones? my billing is Ensemble.
