i had that end key for a min.......

had to do a hard reset to gut it out....

sucks when that happens///

Could someone by chance copy and paste the binary data from \HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\113

I know Default = Contacts
I need the value data from Open

(Ex: 43 00 61 00 6c 00 65 00 6e 00 64 00 61 00 72 00 2e 00 65 00 78 00 65 00 00 00 - that is for Calendar)

I believe after entering that information I will gain access to my Contacts soft key and I hope for others as well. I would rather skip a hard reset after installing the 3.16 ROM and Mobile 6.1 - End Key needs a better uninstaller - Nadavi please fix when you can.

I went to the value that had "contacts" in it and wrote down the whole filepath.( I wasnt able to copy n paste it.) Put this file path into this
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\11 3\Open = \Windows\?AppButtons\Contacts.lnk

JUST REPLACE IT WITH WHAT YOU SEE IN THE "SHELL"

but just remember to take out the extra "s and \s. this worked Thanks!

It's been awhile since I posted on this issue, and I never tried the above solution, but I am sure it works. Since then I think I cooked up 5+ rom's thanks to ppcgeeks, xda-forums, and ppckitchen etc...

Thanks to all who help contribute to this great community!
