I wonder are there any freeware like phonealarm which we can see sms,profile,email and missed calls icon notification

I love PERACOUNT but it has issues on the 800W with the VGA resolution. I tried emailing the author but NO RESPONSE yet. is there a fix for this or is there another program? I tried to use the plugin in TREOALERT but its just not what I want compared to PERACOUNT.
