Fingerprint Unlocking??

Is there any app that uses only your fingerprint to unlock your phone? Is this even possible?

Re: Fingerprint Unlocking??

nope not unless your phone has a dedicated fingerprint scanner. Our touch screens aren't sensitive enough to determine the differences between fingerprints.

Hmmm, maybe you could use the camera for facial recognition, or even for a retinal scan.

Fingerprints are so 80's, holding your camera up to your eye and having your flash go off inches from your face would be far more newage, and look way cooler to your friends. Not that you could see them, or your phone for that matter, for 4 or 5 minutes afterwards.

I dont really see the purpose since there are already so many unlock programs but each of us own these phones for a different reason and if the op's reason is for cool apps then so be it. no need to flame him. Anyway the technology isnt there yet for our phones.

Facial recog would be a pretty neat app! More for when I'm in a rush and don't want to one-handedly try to slide-to-unlock my phone.
