i tried out this program. it works great when i've just finished using my phone, but a few hours later the phone goes into sleep mode and pauses any sort of data connection, therefor resulting in me not receiving any emails.

I think gmurray is going to make the refresh (heartbeat) time configurable so we can find our own sweet spot. lots of other new code in the works too. He said hopefully before/durring the holidays for an update.
Personally I think there is a threshold setting somewhere in wm where <X# bytes counts as idle (resulting in data disconnect), likely different between phones/roms ... wonder if there's a reg... hmm..

Re: ImapPusherService

Check HCLM\Comm\commagr\planner, set cache time to be 600 (10min) and resume from suspend to be #777

Many custom ROMs set this value to 60 (1 min). This is a widespread miss info. A EVDO connection does not consume anything, only activity does. Frequent disconnect/connect do consume more. By default, this Gmail push service sends few bytes to the server every 9 min, virtually no impact on battery life. You may set Outlook to pick up headers only and 1 day only to consume even less battery and data usage.

OK.....I have a Gmail account, which is my main email service. Would it be possible for someone to walk me through the set-up? Thanks.

a walkthrough might be a good bet, having trouble gettin it goin myself... i dl'd the program and entered my email/pass, now when i click the .exe it takes me to messaging, and that's about it.. :-s

got this thus far:
Username: xyz@gmail.com
Password: xyz
Server: imap.gmail.com
