Application for backing up contacts
Is there an application that backs up contacts? I'd like for the application to be free.

Re: Application for backing up contacts
Thanks guys,
Dashwire does allow you to back up your contacts and syncs with your phone when you update your contact list automatically. We do a lot of other things too such as allow you to upload photos, internet favorites, etc. I won't keep rambling but it'd be rockin if you check us out! :headbang: |

Re: Application for backing up contacts
Dashwire is pretty good. I've only had one issue with it. I did a new flash and when I was done I installed Dashwire. I connected it to my laptop afterward, only to find two copies of EVERYTHING. Pretty annoying.

Re: Application for backing up contacts
There's a couple things that could have happened. The one we see the most: users start seeing contact dupes after they reset their phone, add Dashwire, and then connect via ActiveSync to sync thier contacts. This is a known issue (http://dashwire.com/help/issues), and happens because of the way that ActiveSync assigns unique IDs to contact entries. For future reference, if you're an ActiveSync user, then you'll want to add contacts via ActiveSync before you add Dashwire to your new or recently reset phone. That way, you shouldn't see any duplicates.
If your scenario is different from what I outlined above, let us know about that as well. New sync architecture in the works that should prevent this from happening in the future. Thanks for the patience |
