fingerprint

id imagine that the limitation would be that most touch screens arent sensitive enough, but is there any application that could use fingerprint recognition on ppc with touch screen.

mine is the titan, just wondering if theres anything out there.

thanks

i have never ever even thought about that, but i would certainly love it. i imagine that if it was sensitive enough to read your fingerprint that it would be going off every time something touched it though. but hey i could be way off base, get to work on it ;)

Re: fingerprint

the HTC P6500 has the software built in, is there a way to rip it and rewrite it?

Re: fingerprint

ripping the software wouldnt be a good idea cuz it wont work the same as it would work on 6500.....and i dun think ppc touch screen phones are capable of doing that....may be an iphone would...

Re: fingerprint

you all are talking about the touch screen but how smart has the touch pros camera proved to be. that could be another way of doing things or like the face recognition on some computers that might be cool to.

I'm just hoping someone can make a barcode scanner app for us, like the G1's have. Then have it cross-check prices online and locally....

That G1 is pretty slick. I can pretty much guarantee that the fingerprint won't work on our devices though. I would doubt the Iphone could even distinguish the details of the fingerprint from the screen.

Re: fingerprint

seems like you guys failed to notice what i noticed... lol... it doesn't use the screen as a fingerprint device. it uses that little gold bar. at the bottom. its just like the thinkpads w/ the finger print passwords and the security hard drives they sell at the electronic stores.
