M3U Playlists from web
If you are familiar with MythWeb at all, the latest testing build has a very nice feature that will allow you to create playlists and then download them as m3u playlist files.
I am looking for a way to stream these on my xv6800. TCPMP opens the files and comes up with the tagged info, but spits back an "Unauthorized Request!" error that is way to cryptic. The server has it's own web address, but requires a username and password setup by .htaccess for security. Been googlin' a few hours now with no luck. Anybody have any suggestions or is what I am looking for out of the realm of a WM device? Thanks |
Re: M3U Playlists from web
I used gsplayer to open m3u files before and if I remember correctly, it worked okay. Might be worth a try.

Re: M3U Playlists from web
Thanks for the feedback :)
I gave it a try and while it loads the playlist fine and does not give a cryptic error it does not seem to want to play the stream. Doing some searching I loaded up Mortplayer as well but with no luck. I think it may be the authentication, where it is trying to connect to the stream but cannot due to the password my server requires. Removing the password is not an option as I would rather have the security than the music. I am going to keep digging and see if there is a way to do this. Thanks for the suggestion though...GSPlayer seems like a really good media player. Edit: Based on what I just found it looks like it may be an issue with the way MythWeb does it's authentication http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.p...ngMythWebHowTo PIE also has issues with my MythWeb site, it does not even prompt to login, just denies it. It looks like this is going to end up being more of a project than I wanted. :( |
