TCPMP & Master Codec Pack 4

I have been out surfing the web for a while, and I think I got them all... These are all of the known codecs for the free media player TCPMP:

thanks man. installing it now. so the large cab also has the tcpmp player in it? this is cool:)

edit: no player is showing up in programs menu. do I need to install this to device memory rather than storage?

Rileyd5, Unfortunately, you need to install this to main memory, and you are the second person to mention the "no shortcut appearing" problem when using the CAB installer. Try using the .EXE installer, while I track down the root cause of the CAB issue...

will do. kinda figured that was the reason. will report back. shortcut to programs file didn't work with the exe file either. but you can open the tcpmp player from program folder in device memory. check the necessary video boxes and it opens. so it works just not shortcut. I am using a 6.5 rom on the diamond if that makes a difference. Thanks again.

No shortcut either. I'm on a stock HTC Touch Pro with WM6.1. :( And yes, I'm using the executable.

I think I've solved the non appearing shortcut issue... I am using the LennySH WM6.1 A07 Beta 3 ROM, and I have tried deleting all shortcuts, and registry entries after uninstallation, and cold installing with both the .CAB and .EXE installers, and I have gotten a program shotcut in the start menu each time. It may be an issue with whichever ROM you are running... So all I can say is, please bear with it, and if you do not end up with a shortcut after installation, feel free to create one, the program should still work just fine.

I am currently experimenting with a series of plugins with which I can see .on2 (when they are given a ".flv" file extension) files, and hear their audio... but the frame rate is CH..OP..PY, I am getting framerates of 1 frame every 5 seconds at best. If anyone out there has a better, smoother codec, or the beginnings of one... please don't leave us hanging!

So will I also be able to play 3GP's with these plugins?

I'm getting a Samsung SCH-i760 soon as opposed to my HTC Mogul and am having to start from Scratch all over again since the hard drive with all my normal PPC Software store on it is half dead now...

Other then the shortcut issue this is working great on my Touch Pro with Mighty ROM. I was having crash issues with the original .71 RC1 then after getting another version I couldn't get the FFMpeg filter working. This however is working just fine.

Thanks for posting this. Other than the shortcut issue (made one myself), the only other problem I have is on first run I get this message:

FLV4FFMPEG plugin is not compatible with current player version. Please update!

?? I'm running NRG 8/11 WM6.5 Rom on a VZW Touch Pro.

Yewp 3GP's work in it..

3GP is the normal (Non-PPC/SMP) cellphone video format, it's an apple video so is 3G2 but 3G2 is what most normal (Non-PPC/SMP) cellphones also record their camcorder video format in..

Re: TCPMP & Master Codec Pack 4

Trouble shooting for this build:

Quote:

tired of it not showing up in the remove programs list or even in the programs menu list at all, so I went and installed the normal 7.2 edition over again... Now it wont even open, I always get that popup, I've tried uninstalling it and deleting the program files folder that was left behind after the uninstall and reinstalling to no avail but I keep getting that error everytime... Even after a soft reset, and I really DON'T feel like hard resetting jus for an error in a player...

Also now whenever I go to reinstall the Master version it askes me where I want to install it too and says I don't have enough space when I do indeed on the phone...
If you had/have this same problem then do this, deal with it and jus use SKTools to remove and create a shortcut on your own:
Quote:

install the Master version on my microSD card and it'll work, then go into SKTools and moved it to the phones Program Files and it moved it successfully and still worked...

As for the shortcut issue, SPB Mobile Shell allowed me to make a special shortcut for me in its My Shortcuts menu...

So I guess this is what others should do, who have the same problem..
_

I don't get how to install the altered version.

Re: TCPMP & Master Codec Pack 4

Uhh I've got a new problem, jus all of a sudden out of nowhere when I went to play an flv file I get a error that pops up and says:
Quote:

Player: Video codec (VP6F) not supported by the player
How can I fix this, what flv codec version do you have installed and what codec should I install in attempts to fix this.. It jus randomly started happening, I did a soft reset and went in explorer and played one flv and then opened another and bam there it was.. Now it happens with every single flv file..

Re: TCPMP & Master Codec Pack 4

Try this common.dll. Plus since flv4 plugin was compiled with cegcc you'll need to add some reg keys (that's information from the plugin dev NV):

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Loader\LoadModuleLow]
"flv4ffmpeg.plg"=dword:1
"flvsplitter.plg"=dword:1

Make sure the plugin version is 0.54 (I can't use 0.55... don't know how it fares with others). You'll find them in NV website. As an easier alternative the cab from Sino adds the needed reg keys (choose the best version for your device).

The previous common.dll isn't compatible with WVD. You'll need to swap that one with this one. This common.dll however messes up the TCPMP file browser...

If anyone in here can compile a proper common.dll (flv4 and WVD) I'd really appreciate it.

PS: Most users can save some space since many of the files in the setup can be deleted in most devices:

*flvffmpeg.plg is a fully working ffmpeg plugin apart from flv4 (delete ffmpeg.plg and ffmpeg.dll and rename flvffmpeg.plg to ffmpeg.plg)
*flvsplitter.plg is useless (can be deleted since splitter.plg has the same and more functions)
*gx.dll seems useless
*ati3200.plg is useless in most devices (only used in a few old ppc with this ATI chip)
*intel2700g.plg is useless in most devices (only used in a few old ppc with Intel 2700 chip)
*gfh264.plg is useless in most devices (only used in a few old ppc with GF5500 chip)
*gfmpeg4.plg is useless in most devices (only used in a few old ppc with GF5500 chip)
*lang files seem useless (just keep languages.tgz)
*setup.dll, setupdll.dll and setup_ce3.dll seem useless (delete them)
*avcodec-51.dll (doesn't seem needed since you have avcodec-52.dll)
*filters.dll seems useless (delete it)
*wm... dlls aren't needed (most new devices carry a wma and a wmv plugin in the Windows folder already... if not just the wma9prodecoder.dll and wmv9decoder.dll should be enoughl)

Doing this will save over 7MB and TCPMP mantains the same functions.

Hi, i'm kinda new to this but I keep getting a error message " Unexpected Program failure. please send "Crash.txt" to the developers. Program will now exit" Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm using 3.56.651.0 rom. This is a Sprint mogul.

Sorry but this is a failure compared to Techs version.. Now where can I find the TCPMP InvarTech1 cab that works? Because this one lags so badly it's unuseable for me.. I would rather use the super old TCPMP that is available on the forums than this one that is very laggy.

None of these programs work with youtube anymore! Honestly, someone give me one TCPMP pack that still works with youtube.

molitar, shoot me a PM if you haven't found a copy of InvarTech1.cab I *might* still have a copy somewhere.

HOW DO WE GET ANY OF THIS TO WORK WITH YOUTUBE????????? GAH!!!! I've been going CRAZY for months now, not being able to play youtube videos on my phone.

molitar 11-17-2009 01:00 PM

Re: TCPMP & Master Codec Pack 4

Finally found invartech but now can't even read the steps to install it because of the mods here even threw away the old thread because a search does not find it anymore it seems and a link to the thread says permission denied! Appears I need to start looking for a new support forum for my phone so I can actually use it.

Nevermind a friendly person posted in another thread where I can go to find it.

I've had the cinema version installed for a while now. I haven't noticed any difference in video quality compared the the RC3 version. Which one did you install on yours? There's 2 for the TP2.

Re: TCPMP & Master Codec Pack 4

Heres a quote from his posting:

"NOTE: Google/YouTube has just changed the CODE format at http://www.youtube.com/?nomobile=1 therefore you may encounter 404 errors... You will not have any problems playing YouTube Videos via the new JM81 WVD 1.50 Version."

So, no....this one doesnt work yet for youtube, unless your routing it through WVD. Heres my problem, how do you route PIE to WVD so that WVD can then route it to TCPMP?

????
