1ghz overclocked kernel available
 

Go poke around the around the precentral.net forums. The kernel is called F105 and is installable using the kernel testing (custom feed) feed in preware. I have it and it goes really ... really fast.

I haven't found info on the kernel testing feed yet, but here is the website of the creator of the kernel unixpsycho. You can download the ipk from there and use WOSQI to install it. Remember to remove all other custom kernels or overclocking patches. Also Govnah is required and screenstate is required 500 min 1005 max. Be sure to head over to PreCentral and give him a thanks. So far it is faster than 800 Mhz but not by much. I am doctoring my phone to start from fresh to see if that makes a difference. Best of luck y'all.

keep us updated---i just got the pre and loving it. got the 800mhz and it blazes.

also comparisons to 800mhz would be appreciated.

I've been running the 1ghz for about three weeks now. No problems whatsoever. It's a bit faster to me than the 800 but actually seems to be a bit more stable. I've had no temp problems and not even a single restart or hangup. As for battery life it seems to pull a little more than the 800 but not enough to present a problem. No issues with any of my patches. It's the deal maker for the Pre imo.

yeah i saw this yesterday about overclocking to beyond 1ghz... this will probably bring me back to a palm pre. alot of development and new apps have happened since i owned one a year ago. good/strong community too at precentral.

if anybody has a new one for sale please pm me.

ive had my pre for two weeks now and i love the damn thing. seriously.. this thing has come a long way since i owned one a year ago. overclocked to 1ghz makes this phone fly, it's almost like the cpu was meant to run at this speed. no hiccups or overheating at all.
